Working On The Straight & Narrow
The long, narrow aspect of this Ealing garden has been turned to an advantage,
providing three distinct areas to enjoy. From the back door a curved path
circles the lawn to its left and planted border to its right before ending
under a rose covered pergola which also hides the garden shed.
The other side of the pergola is a natural area sown with meadow grass
and wild flowers and providing a haven for wildlife. A mown path
leads through this space to a sunken sun terrace. This is screened with
a boundary of natural timber uprights and tall grasses. The patio itself
is surrounded by aromatic planting which gives a scented and private entertaining
space.
